The Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC) says it is still carrying out investigations involving South African businessman James Ndambo’s properties.
DEC Director General Mary Chirwa said the commission will not give out any information as it needs more time to carry out its investigation.
Ms Chirwa has told ZNBC News in a telephone interview that she is in close contact with the officers and that a comprehensive statement will be issued once investigations are concluded.
She said the commission does not want to issue half-baked information as the investigations are being conducted.
James Ndambo is the founder and chairman of the My Home Town Initiative.
The initiative recently hosted the biggest beauty pageantry in Zambia with the two three winners bagging 275,000 United states dollars among them including vehicles.
