The Chingola based jerabo leader Isaac Chiwasha popularly known as Debra Richie who was burnt by his rival jerabo gang is stable, Konkola Copper Mines (KCM) mine hospital has said.
Debra was rushed to KCM Nchanga South Mine Hospital soon after he was burnt by rival jerabos group.
KCM General Manager for Corporate Affairs Eugene Chungu said Mr Chiwasha is stable and responding well to treatment.
This is contrary to rumor suggesting that Debra has died.
KCM mine hospitals are open to the public at a fee and during emergencies KCM mine hospitals take in non-miners for treatment to reduce the burden on Government health institutions.
Debra is not a KCM employee is nursing serious fire burns after his house was set ablaze by rival Jerabo gang.
His house at 23 Chimwemwe Road in Chiwempala’s Sub-superior was set ablaze around 04:00 hrs on Saturday May 26.
