Police in Lusaka have arrested and detained PF former Defence Minister Davies Chama 57 and former Diplomatic Staff at the Zambian Embassy in Ethiopia Brian Dumisani Nyoni 47, for alleged attempted murder.
Zambia Police Spokesperson Rae Hamoonga said it is alleged that the two persons on June 6, 2015 in Sichili of Mulobezi District jointly and whilst acting together with others unknown did attempt to unlawfully cause the death of Mushaukwa Mushaukwa 47 of Shesheke.
Mr Hamoonga said the duo is expected to be transported to Mulobezi to the alleged scene of crime, to do what is called “scene reconstruction”.
He said they will later be driven to Sesheke where they will be formally charged with cases of attempted murder which they have already been given a ‘Warn and Caution’.
Pleas and repeated requests made since yesterday for Mr Chama to see a doctor as he was not well were flatly denied.
