Stanbic Head of Personal, Business and Banking Mwansa Mutati says the bank has been shaped into one of the leading banks in the country because it has assimilated customers’ insights.
Speaking during the Cocktail to mark the official opening of Stanbic bank after its relocation to the Park (Mall) from Town Centre (Nchanga Hotel roundabout), Ms Mutati said the bank does not take clients for granted.
She said the bank can only grow if its customers are served well, the situation which has made the bank to adapt and use customers’ insights to upgrade and meet specific customers’ expectations.
She said at the moment the bank has about 150, 000 countrywide clientele base and about 2, 200 for Chingola alone.
“Banking isn’t just service but an experience where you need to learn and upgrade to meet modern banking lifestyle. That’s why we are investing, reinventing and reinvesting in order to be a modern bank.
“We have digit, online and internet banking to adapt to platforms where customers can transact to pay for services such as paying for bills without visiting the bank,” she said.
And Chingola Mayor Titus Tembo said banks must inspire business growth and country’s economy.
Mr Tembo said Chingola has seen faster growth on infrastructure and he implored banks to match along the vision 2020 in which Chingola wants to claim the city status.
