Scrivener Bwalya, Copperbelt United Party for National Development (UPND) Trustee, lauds the UPND administration for transforming the narrative on the Copperbelt.
In a recent radio interview on Shekainah FM, Bwalya attributed the province’s resurgence to the government’s numerous projects, including the reopening of Konkola Copper Mines (KCM) and Mopani mines.
“The Copperbelt is experiencing a revival under President Hakainde Hichilema’s leadership,” Bwalya stated. “The government is working tirelessly to improve citizens’ lives across various sectors, including agriculture, mining, trade, and industry.”
Bwalya highlighted the creation of direct and indirect jobs, improved livelihoods in Chingola, and the commissioning of three level-one hospitals on the Copperbelt. He acknowledged challenges, such as high mealie-meal prices, and assured that the government is addressing these issues.
“The UPND government is making progress with development, and the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) is a game-changer,” Bwalya emphasized. “With free education and skills development for youths, no one will be left behind.”
The former Chingola District Chairperson expressed confidence in the government’s ability to bring about positive change, citing the reopening of mines and increased economic activity as evidence of progress.
