Copperbelt PS dates Masaiti Chiefs for Expo

COPPERBELT Permanent Secretary Bright Nundwe has looped in three Chiefs from Masaiti to showcase potentials in their Chiefdom during the Copperbelt Expo.

Mr Nundwe said Masaiti is ready for the Copperbelt Expo and all the three Chiefs in the district have decided to submit the potentials in their chiefdoms to be marketed at the Expo.

In his post on The Independent Observer  (tiozambia) WhatsApp news forum, the PS said the trio are Senior Chief Chiwala, Chief Nkambo and Senior Chief Mushilo.

Areas of focus for Chief Nkambo are Chitibuke sunken lake, Kalamba natural spring, Chibakabaka, Ichilwabukwa potential for fish farming, Mobe Dam which requires construction and rehabilitation and is good for fish farming, Selala Hot spring for Tourism, Nsonge Welala Hills potential for Tourism and Miengwe hills including Nyenyesi Dam.

Mr Nundwe said Senior Chief Chiwala had submitted Katonte Hills which is the source of Kafulafuta river, lshitwe and Chikoka potential areas for farming Kansamfu, Ishitwe and Chondwe wards which have manganese, Grave for the late senior chief Chiwala who died in 1852 and founder of Ndola town since he settled there first.

Other areas are Itawa spring potential for Tourism while Katonte and Chikoka Forrests are good for Game ranching, Chilimulilo in Chondwe wards good for Tourism.

And Senior Chief Mushilo apart from Kafulafuta Dam there is Miputu Sunken lake, Kashise traditional Heritage, Chilese water spring, Kashitu area with deposits of Iron ore and Hot water spring.
