Copperbelt Province Permanent Secretary Bright Nundwe has directed that the Provincial task force on Covid-19 be enhanced to ensure compliance to the prescribed health guidelines.
Mr Nundwe has also directed that all District Commissioners should heighten their task forces in the fight against the pandemic through the intensified monitoring of compliance levels.
Zanis reports that Mr Nundwe called on the police should re-enforce manpower to ensure there is compliance in bars, restaurants and casinos as directed by the Head of State through Secretary to the Cabinet Dr Simon Miti.
And Provincial Health Director, Robert Zulu said he is worried with the complacency being exhibited by the general public amidst rising cases of the pandemic.
Dr. Zulu said people should not be wreck less but play their role of making sure that the five golden rules are adhered to and help health experts to conquer the pandemic whose numbers are rising sharply.
