She said that there is a clear directive to fish out all bad elements in Chingola and the entire province.
Ms Katanga has also implored the community to work hand in hand with the police through the Community Crime Prevention Units (CCPU) formerly known as neighborhood watch to curb crime.
She appealed to Nchanga Member of Parliament Chali Chilombo to consider lobbying for a vehicle to be stationed at Luano-Kpisha police station plus a house for an officer.
And Mr Chilombo expressed gratitude to Luano-Kapisha community for being patient when faced with several challenges of crime.
He said the area has a largest population where crime surged with some losing lives in the process.
“This place was nicknamed as an abattoir where anyone can hack a fellow man with some crimes even going unreported. But the community played a key role in identifying the project to help curb the surging criminal activities,” he said.
He also thanked the stakeholders who played a role ensuring project was a success.
The Law Marker appealed to the members of the community to guard the police post jealous.
