Copper Queens Climb 10 Spots In Latest FIFA Rankings

The Zambia Women’s National Team has climbed 10 places up in the latest FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking, moving to 94 from 104.

This is the Copper Queens highest ever position in the ranking thanks to the 4-4 draw with China in the Group F fixture at Miyagi stadium on 24 July. Zambia lost 10-3 to Netherlands and 1-0 to Brazil in the other fixtures at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

Their attention now shifts to the COSAFA Women’s Championship where they have been drawn in Group C alongside Namibia, Eswatini and Uganda at the tournament which will run from September 15-26 in Gqeberha, South Africa.

The next Ranking will be published on 10 December 2021.
