Coach Kaindu laments Nkana loss

By Emmanuel Mukuka

Nkana coach Kelvin Kaindu is lamenting his team’s 3-1 loss to Buildcon in Sunday’s FAZ Super Division match played at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.

Nkana gave away a 1-0 lead to lose the Week 16 match to a determined Buildcon side.

In a post-match interview, Kaindu blamed the loss on defensive blunders.

“I think we gave away maximum points. We took an early, we had a half chance and we scored,” Kaindu said.

“But I am very disappointed in the way we gave out all the three goals. I think all the three goals were all defensive errors,” he said.

Kaindu believes the loss has jeopardized Nkana’s chances of qualifying for the ABSA Cup.

Buildcon coach Boyd Mulwanda described the victory as hard fought.

“It was a hard fought victory for sure. We needed to get maximum points from this game,” Mulwanda said.

This was Buildcon’s seventh win of the season.
