Zambia’s rivals in Group H of the 2023 Africa Cup qualifying campaign Lesotho and Ivory Coast on Thursday evening drew goalless in their day-two match.
The result leaves Group H open ahead of the September action in which Zambia will face Lesotho back-back.
Lesotho held favourites Ivory Coast at Dobsonville Stadium in South Africa to pick their first point of the campaign.
Lesotho launched the Group H action with a 2-0 away loss to Comoros last week on the same day Ivory Coast thumped Zambia 3-1 in West Africa.
Zambia recovered from Friday’s loss by beating Comoros 2-1 at home last Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Ivory Coast lead Group H with four points followed by Zambia and Ivory Comoros, who are tied on three points each.
Lesotho are bottom of the group with one point in two matches played.
