Chipolopolo promises better results at CHAN

By Mulenga Mukuka
Chipolopolo Boys are itching to give fans improved results ahead of the 2021 African Nations Championship (CHAN) that starts this Saturday in Cameroon.

Zambia is in Group D at CHAN where they will face Tanzania on January 19, Guinea on January 23 and Namibia on January 27.

Prior to their opening match, Milutin “Micho” Sredojevic’s side will face Libya in the final preparatory match in Douala, Cameroon on Wednesday.

Speaking from Douala, Zambia vice captain and midfielder Benson Sakala said the team is preparing well for CHAN.

“We have been doing our very best since we arrived here in Douala,” said Sakala, the Power Dynamos player.

“As you can see it’s pretty hot here but I think we have adapted by this time and the team looks sharp in training.”

“We will keep working for them (fans) and looking forward to giving them better results,” Sakala told FAZ Media.

Zambia recently participated in the pre-CHAN tournament in Cameroon and emerged second with four points from three matches played.
