Chipolopolo off to Iraq for friendly match

By Mercy Chewe
The Chipolopolo squad is scheduled to leave for Iraq on Tuesday ahead of the friendly matches against Iraq and Guinea.

FAZ has lined up two friendly matches during the FIFA window with the Iraq match taking place this Friday and the other against Guinea at the month-end.

The Zambia National Team will be in Iraq before proceeding to France where they play Guinea on March 29.

Chipolopolo coach Aljosa Asanovic has already finalized his squad for the two friendly matches.

Asanovic has dropped Zanaco players Moses Phiri, Kelvin Kapumbu, Lameck Siame and Abraham Siankombo to enable them to play for Zanaco in the CAF match against CS Sfaxien of Tunisia.

The quartet have been replaced by Kafue Celtic forward Albert Kangwanda, Zesco United’s Chanda Mukuka, his club mate Simon Simon Silwimba and Nkana keeper Kelvin Malunga.
