The Zambia National Football Team has beaten Congo Brazzaville by three goals to one in a game played in Turkey.
Debutant Frankie Musonda marked his call to the team with a third goal after Skipper Enock Mwepu and Klings Kangwa put Zambia two nil up.
The Chipolopolo took the lead in the 19th minute through an Enock Mwepu converted spot kick after striker Lameck Banda was brought down in the box.
The charged-up troops doubled the lead in the 25th minute after Zambia’s export to Russia slotted in a powerful short to take the tall to two nil.
Opponents Congo Brazzaville pulled a goal back in the 33rd minute from the penalty spot through Guy Mbenza who was fouled in the box by Roderick Kabwe to make it 2-1 at half time.
Final goal for the Chipolopolo was sealed after Scottish based defender Frankie Musonda’s header off a Rodrick Kabwe long range free kick in the 63rd minute made it three one for the Copper bullets.
Three one was the final score-line and the Chipolopolo will now shift attention to Sunday’s encounter against Benin to be played at the same venue.
