The Construction works on the Katopola-Walela crossing point in Msanga Ward of Chipata Central Constituency have been completed.
The crossing point was constructed at a cost of about K50, 000 under the Equalization Fund.
Area Councilor, Mwakuta Jere, says the crossing point is important as it connects a number of areas in his ward.
Mr Jere said people, especially pupils, will now find it easy to access their learning institutions.
He said in the past it was challenging during the rainy season but now pupils will have easy access.
Mr Jere said though the price of the bridge has come with mixed feelings from people of Chipata Central, he was happy pupils will attend classes without missing lessons.
