Nchanga constituency’s UPND Bupalo Ward Councillor Peter Sinyangwe, has died in the early hours of today.
Mr Sinyangwe passed on around 05:00 hours in Nchanga North General Hospital after an illness.
Mr Sinyangwe underwent an operation to better his health in Lusaka recently.
And Chingola Mayor Johnson Kang’ombe confirmed the development to the Independent Observe in a telephone interview.
Mr Kang’ombe has also sent his message of condolences to the family.
He has described the late Councillor as a fighter who has fought for the party in the district.
The Mayor said the local Authority will take up the responsibility to help the bereaved family.
The late Councillor once contested as Mayor in 2016 and lost to former Chingola Mayor Titus Tembo.
