Police in Chingola have arrested a-20- year-old woman for allegedly killing her husband by hitting him with a pan.
The fight ensued after a marital dispute and in the process they injured their 17 months old baby who sustained a swollen face.
Copperbelt Police Commissioner Charity Katanga confirmed the murder to The Independent Observer in an interview.
Ms Katanga said Haswell Zulu of house number 4435 Chilola Loop area suffered a deep cut on the head and bleeding from the nose after he was allegedly hit with a pan brick.
She identified the suspect as Folerence Chongo 20, of the same abode.
Ms Katanga said incident happened yesterday December 22 around 03:00 hours.
“The injured baby is addimited at Chawama mini hospital and his condition is stable.
“The body of Mr Zulu is in Nchanga North General hospital mortuary awaiting postmodern while the suspect is remanded at Chiwepala police station,” she said.
