Minister of Water Development and Sanitation Mike Mposha has called on residents of Chingola to report vandalism of Mulonga Water pipes that’s on the rise in the district.
Mr Mposha said vandalism is a drawback to development and its act that need to be stopped by every well-meaning residents.
He said government spends huge sums of money for water development and is sudden by how rampantly the act is being committed.
Mr Mposha was speaking when he paid a courtesy call on Chingola District Commissioner Raphael Chimupi.
The minister was visiting Mulonga Water government projects to see the progression before the year ends.
“We have so many projects that the company is doing one of which is the Kamenza east water project, we want ensure that once this projects are done, sufficient water will be supplied to every resident,” he said.
He said that its government’s hope to see safe and clean drinking water is made available to all Zambians through the water projects that it has embarked on.
Mr Mposha is on a tour to inspect projects on the Copperbelt and today he visited Chingola, where he visited Mulonga Water, Supply and Sanitation treatment plants.
