Chingola Central Policewomen Network and Nkwazi Women Network have donated assorted cleaning materials and baby dippers to Chawama Mini Hospital in Chingola to celebrate Women’s Day.
Chingola Member of Parliament Chipoka Mulenga joined the women in celebrating Women’s Day and donated 100 blankets, bedsheets, hand sanitizers, detergent pastes, and chlorine to the clinic, as well as baby hampers to eight new mothers.
The Women’s Networks, comprising wives of police officers and police officers themselves, mobilized resources for this noble cause.
Mr. Mulenga expressed gratitude towards the women for their efforts, particularly in refurbishing Chingola Central Holding Cells using their own resources.
He praised the women for demonstrating their care and positive contribution to the community, not only as officers but also as caring mothers.
Mr. Mulenga urged the women to engage other women in society to promote peace and harmony.
Chingola Police Officer Commanding Jane Mwiimbu commended the women for their unity and initiatives, which contribute to improving facilities in communities.
Evelyn Simbeye Chawama Mini Hospital Sister-In-Charge thanked the Member of Parliament and the Women’s Network for their generous gesture, which will have a lasting impact.
