Chingola MP, Siksha Foundation partner to renovate Isubilo

By JOHN SAKALA
Chingola Member of Parliament Matthew Nkhuwa has once again partnered with
Siksha Foundation led by Hemant Desai to renovate Isubilo Community School in Kasompe.

The school is in a dilapidated state and without school desks. Pupils use pews borrowed from nearby churches.

In brief, the school doesn’t have furniture both for staff and pupils and there is no water at the same school.

In his continued agenda to uplift education standards in his constituency, Mr Nkhuwa lobbied for complete renovation of the school with the help of Siksha Foundation of United States of America.

According to Matty Investments Projects Manager John Banda, the works at Isubilo Community School will include putting up a ceiling, lighting, window pens and electric borehole with an overhead tank to improve water reticulation.

Isubilo Community School has 245 pupils and eight Teachers of which six are volunteer Teachers.

This is not the first time that Siksha Foundation is partnering with Mr Nkhuwa on education projects.

Last time they partnered on the construction of three, 1×2 classroom blocks at George Mwelwa Primary School along Solwezi road, though this time Manu Foundation has also come on board.

All the Matthew Nkhuwa education projects come with school desks.
