Chingola MP donates tents

Chingola Member of Parliament Chipoka Mulenga has donated 16 tents to all the 17 wards in his constituency.
Mr Mulenga said that the tents are meant to help in times of mourning and other activities within the constituency that need tents.

He urged the residents to safeguard the tents and use them accordingly without any discrimination against anyone irrespective of their political affiliation.

Mr Chipoka, who is also Commerce and Trade Minister, said that if well kept, the tents will stand a test of time.

“We do not want to be spending on the same things, let us safeguard these tents, so that we can focus, doing other things that will enrich our lives like Chicken rearing and other empowerment projects, we bought these tents to help those in mourning as it was a challenge because the constituency lack enough tents,’’ he said.

Mr Chipoka also appealed to the residents to ensure that they work together so that development is guaranteed.
He said that empowerment programs will soon commence in the constituency so that the people’s livelihoods are lifted.

Mr Chipoka said that for starters, all wards will be given chicks to rear as empowerment that will in turn generate income.

And Chingola District Commissioner Raphael Chimupi urged those in charge of tents to work together with those that need tents at a given time

Mr Chimupi thanked the Member of Parliament for the donation as it will help in serving the residents of Chingola constituency.
