Chingola MP delivers Muchinshi dormitories

By JOHN SAKALA
Chingola Member of Parliament Matthew Nkhuwa has completed the construction of modern dormitories at Muchinshi Boarding School.

This is the project being done with support from Chingola Constituency Development Trust (CCDT), which is Mr Nkhuwa’s vehicle to implement projects.

Mr Nkhuwa said two dormitories at Muchinshi Boarding school are being constructed at a cost of K4 million. With one project costing K2 million each.

He said the two dormitories which are for boys and girls will accommodate 96 each, a total of 192.

Mr Nkhuwa who is also Energy Minister said pupils at the school were renting at near houses, the situation which resulted into so many pregnancies among the girl child.

He said the dormitories have been equipped with banker beds and mattresses.

“We are only remaining with the sinking of a borehole before we can finally handover the dormitories to the Ministry of Education. Once done we hope to improve academic standards and reduce pregnancies among the girl child,” he said.
