The four gang members who took turns in raping a woman of Chingola after attacking her family in Lulamba Kakonko area have appeared before Chingola Magistrate Court.
The quartet are facing one count of murder and three counts of attempted murder.
The same gang appealing before another court are charged for rape and assaults.
But the matter for Rape and assault could not take place because there was an error in the indictment promoting the magistrate Lumuti Mtonga to adjourn the matter to tomorrow February 14, 2019.
Appealing before Magistrate Martin Namushi, the quartet Boyd Kamizhi 22, Mclean Kamizhi 20 (brothers) Gilbert Zimba 22 popularly known as Gilby and Sylvio Kwibisa 20, popularly known as Avatar stand charged with one count of murder and three counts of attempted murder.
In the first count the quartet are facing a murder charge, particulars before court are that on dates unknown but between January 22 and 23 this year murdered a person.
In 2nd, 3rd, 4th, count the quartet are facing the charges of attempted murder that on dates unknown but between January 22 and 23 the tried to murder three persons in separate incidents.
The quartet appealed for mention and therefore could not take plea because the case they were facing was trailed at the high court and awaiting instruction from the Director of Public Prosecution.
Magistrate Namushi has since adjourned the matter to February 28th for another mention, while they will be appealing on February 14th for rape and assaults.
