Chingola fire Tender to be on the road soon-Mayor

Chingola Mayor Johnson Kang’ombe has called on the people of Chingola to remain calm and patient as the council is repairing the fire tender.

Mr Kangombe was reacting to some concerned members of the community in a whatsaap group who shared the concerned last week after a house was burnt to ashes in Chikola.

The people who live near by the house helped putting off the fire though properties were lost hence the call for the Leaders in the district to look into the matter.

Marvin Banda a member of the community of Chingola said that the district has no operating fire tender which is an hazard in case of fire break out in a public place.

“We need a fire engine to help firefighters do their work effectively, because even the fire engine for KCM we don’t see it meaning it is also in the garage, Honorable Members of Parliament and The Mayer of Chingola we are calling upon you,” he said.

Mr Kango’mbe said fire engine will be ready by next month as it is been worked on because it was involved in an accident.
He said the works are at 85 percent.
The Mayor also said the management has been rehearsing with KCM who has procured two fire tenders and very soon Chingola will be on top of things.
