Chingola DC calls for a-3-day prayer session to heal from Covid-19

Chingola District Commissioner Agnes Tonga has called on the residents of Chingola to join the three days interdenominational prayers and fasting that government has called on for continued peace and healing from Covid-19.

 

Ms Tonga said the people should come in numbers for the prayers which have been called for the healing of the land of Zambia.

She said the theme for the prayers ‘Seeking the Lord for healing’ has come at the right time as Zambia is a Christian nation and every time things are not right the country calls for prayers.

Ms Tonga has urged the people to support the noble cause.

And Zambia Police Service Chingola Chaplain Sekelani Phiri said that it is important for the nation to come together and pray against Covid-19 because prayer is important.

Pastor Phiri said believers should come out of the comfort zone if their want to see God answer their prayers.

The prayers are starting tomorrow March 4, 2021 to March 6, 2021 from 05:00 to 06:00 and those around the town center zone will meet at the shopping mall.

Other major streets where the prayers will be conducted in Chingola is Kitwe road, Kwacha road, Freedom avenue, SQ, Mine Police areas, Kabundi road, Kabundi-Kapisha and Soweto areas.

Others are Chikola, Chiwepala Kasope, Solwezi road and Chingola-Kitwe.
