Chingola Council helps to bury 5 road accident victims

Chingola Municipal Council has given five burial site for the five parishioners who died in a road traffic accident at Musenga area on Sunday.

Today the five victims will be put to rest today at Chingola Town centre cemetery.

Five people died while 26 others sustained serious injuries when the bus they were traveling in rammed into a stationary truck along Chingola-Kitwe road.

Chingola Municipal Council Public Relations Officer Ramona Phiri said the council had given five burial permits and sites to the victims’ families to be buried at Town centre cemetery.

Ms Phiri said the council is saddened by the tragedy.

Those that died are Vincent Matundu of H4/F12,   Haggi Nkandu 35, of H1-A14 and Regina Bwale 23 of H2-V18 all of Kamba section.

Other are Bupe Chikwanda 25 of 66 Kamanga Street in Mudzabwela Township and Bernard Mukutuma of 5 Ngebe Street in Soweto.
