Chingola Municipal Council says it has obsevered with regrets that residents are dumping construction materials on the roads as they carry out construction activities in their homes.
Chingola Town Clerk Kabombo Mutakela said the activities have compromised on the functionality of the roads.
Mr Mutakela said in most cases one lane is closed thereby reducing the carriageway width.
He said the activities are are impeding the drainage system causing damage to the road Infrastructure.
He has advised residents to refrain from the said habit for it is a form of infringement on the roads reserve and it against the public roads act.
Mr Mutakela said anyone find wanting will not only have their materials confiscated but will also be required to pay a penalty fee.
