Chingola and Chililabombwe have received assorted educational equipment and computers to be distributed to all government schools in the two districts.
And Chingola District Commissioner Agnes Tonga who officially flagged of the handover said that the equipment will help Leaners cope up with learning in this modern world and have competences in the relevant fields of study and skills advancement.
Ms Tonga said that it is only by expanding the education opportunities that the country can bury poverty in communities and the Nation.
She said that government is doing everything possible to ensure that the education sector thrives and fulfills the expectations of Zambians.
Ms Tonga said that government will ensure that schools are equipped with modern equipment at all levels.
“We as government are determined to improve the facilities of all schools in the country so that no child is left behind,” she said.
The DC has urged the community members to safe-guard the equipment and ensures that leaners attend lessons regularly.
The assorted equipment ranges from carpentry tools, solar installation, Design and Technology Equipment, desk tops and laptops, Laboratory and office furniture.
And Copperbelt Province Education Officer Felix Ngoma said that for quality education to be achieved they are a lot of factors involved, especially learning tools.
Mr Ngoma said that it is easier to teach when they are proper equipment to use hence this government initiative.
Speaking at the same function Chingola District Education Board Secretary Noah Simalunga said that the district appreciate the government initiative to enhance quality education in the district.
And PF candidate for Chingola Constituency Michelle Kazala says that PF government want to ensure that education is a priority in it development agenda.
He said that PF government appreciate teachers for the good works that they are doing in giving pupils the knowledge and skills that is needed.
