A delegation from GUANGZHOU YONDWAY New Energy Technology Company Limited of China is in the country to explore the possibilities of setting up a manufacturing plant of electric motor bikes and three wheelers.
The delegation’s visit to Zambia follows the recent trip by Commerce, Trade and Industry Minister CHIPOKA MULENGA to China where he attended the third China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo.
Speaking when the delegation called on him in Lusaka today, Mr. MULENGA said the visit is timely as government is focusing on increasing investments.
Mr. MULENGA said urban communities will benefit from the investment in electric motor bikes as they will provide more affordable mode of transportation.
And GUANGZHOU YONDWAY New Energy Technology Company Limited Director SUNNY LUO said the Company supplies Energy products, electric vehicles and two wheel bicycles to African countries.
