Chililabombwe records 11 Christmas babies

By ALICE NAVHILEMBE Chililabombwe Mayor Christabel Mulala has donated 11 baby hampers to Christmas babies.

Speaking during the presentation of gifts, the Mayor congratulated the mothers and urged them to take care of the babies as they are future leaders.

Ms Mulala expressed gratitude toward the Doctors and nurses at the clinic and hospitals for conducting safe deliveries.

She also presented gifts to patients at Konkola Mine Hospital.

The babies were born in three different hospitals Lubengele Clinic, Kakoso and Konkola Mine Hospital.

The first Christmas baby was a boy delivered at Lubengele Clinic at 00:45 hours from Harriet Mutale Mhango of KB1 Konkola Township.

And in her festive message to the community of Chililabombwe, Ms Mulala said that Council would endeavor to improve the lives of the residents in the District by providing quality services.

She has appealed to all motorists and pedestrians to take extra caution and obey traffic rules to avoid loss of lives.

Ms Mulala appealed to those that may take alcohol during this festive season to drink responsibly and urged residents to love and care for one another.
