Chililabombwe Council closes to fumigate offices due to Covid-19

Chililabombwe Municipal Council closed down and sent some workers to pavy way for the Council health officers to fumigate and disinfect the offices, today 2nd June, 2021 around 10:30 hours.
CMC Public Health Director Gift Sakanyi said the idea was due to the fact that Council officers interact with a lot of people on daily basis and are therefore exposed to the covid 19 virus.
Dr Sakanyi said that despite adhering to the pandemic guidelines there was need to disinfect the offices so that the lives of the workers are safe guarded.
He said all council offices will be disinfected by today and these include outskirts council offices, libraries, markets and bus stations.
“The council has limited the number of Staff to be operating in the offices so as to reduce congestion as per circular from the two ministries, Ministry of Health and Ministry Local Government.
The workers have been therefore cautioned to follow the Rotation, as they are currently under going through Covid-19 test,” he said.
