Police in Lusaka have arrested Chella Tukuta for criminal Libel.
Tukuta had taken strong stance about gold mine and other minerals where Lusaka Minister Bowman Lusambo felt injured and demanded for an apology from the Lusaka based Photographer.
But Tukuta refused to apologise while his fellow B-Flow and Kings Malembe obliged to the demands.
Police Spokesperson Esther Katongo says Tukuta was arrested in connection with some derogatory remarks alleged to have been produced and posted on social media.
Ms Katongo said Tukuta is alleged to have posted something against Minister of Information and Broadcasting Services Dora Siliya, Zambia Revenue Authority Commissioner General(ZRA), Kingsley Chanda, Northern Province Permanent Secretary, Charles Sipanje and Former Special Assistant to the President for Press and Public Relations, Amos Chanda.
“The accused person is in police custody yet to be charged with four counts of Criminal Libel. He is also expected to face more charges on the Copperbelt,” she said.
