Case for Chingola raping gang fails to take off

The case in which four gang members who allegedly took turns in raping a woman of Chingola has failed to take place because the witness were not before court.

Appearing before Magistrate Lumuti Mtonga, the quartet Boyd Kamizhi 22, also facing three more counts of Assault And Occasion Bodily Harm, Mclean Kamizhi 21, (brothers) Gilbert Zimba 22, popularly known as Gilby and Sylvio Kwibisa 20, popularly known as Avatar stand charged with one count of rape.

Particulars before the court are that the quartet on dates unknown but between January 22 and 23 2019, jointly and whilst acting together had unlawful canal knowledge of a woman without her consent.

The Quartet have pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The court has since adjourned the matter to March, 13, 2019 for commencement of trail.

And in another court the quartet are facing one count of murder and 3 counts of attempted murder.
