Salvation Family Care Coordinator Joseph Chishimba has called on well-wishers to come on board and support the vulnerable children in communities.
Mr Chishimba said children have a future despite their background, hence the need for support from members of the community.
Speaking when (SFC) he gave out assorted education materials to children at Kumfwana’s Pentecostal Holiness in Chingola, he said the vulnerable children are not orphans by choice.
“As Salvation Family Care we managed to raise at least K6, 000 which we have used to buy books, socks, pens, pencils and mathematical sets. We also have a program where we meet the children once in a month and identify their needs,” he said.
He called on well-wishers to come on board and render support to the children even sponsoring one child to school by paying school fees would go a long way.
Mr Chishimba thanked the people who contributed toward the buying of the school materials and those who pledged to pay school fee for one or more children.
Nsansa Ward Councillor Benson Bwalya commended SFC for the gesture and urged them to continue with this noble call.
Mr Tonge who pledged to sponsor five children to school said the future with no education has no solutions for any problem because the leaders would be illiterates.
Salvation family care (SFC) is a registered organization which started in 2016, it is looking after 296 vulnerable children by care givers and 214 children are been sponsored in schools from pre-school to secondary school pupils.
