Campaign restrictions disadvantaging candidates- Reagan Mushinga

By IREEN MULENGA
United Party For National Development (UPND) Alliance Mufulira Central Parliamentary Candidate Reagan Kashinga says that the campaign restrictions due to Covid-19 have made it difficult for some electorates to have adequate information about certain candidates contesting in this year`s general elections.

Mr Kashinga said that lack of adequate time for politicians to sell their campaign messages to the electorate will lead to many citizens voting for wrong candidates.

“I would like to point out that the campaign restrictions due to the Covid-19 Pandemic will make some people to vote for wrong candidates because some of the people don’t know their candidates up to now,” he said.

He said oppositions in some areas especially in Mufurila are being attacked by the PF as they go in their campaigns.

Mr Kashinga said that electorates’ failure to have information on candidates is due to the political field which is not leveled and only favoring the PF.
