Former Copperbelt Provincial Chairperson for de-registered National Democratic Congress party Chipoka Mulenga says PF Lusaka Province Chairman Paul Moonga has become foul and narrow minded.
Mr Mulenga said it was unfortunate for Mr Moonga to misbehave and be shallowly overzealous.
He said it was unacceptable that Mr Moonga and his cronies want to defy police instructions and go ahead with their planned protest to the residence of Dr Chishimba Kambwili.
“My youths from the Copperbelt are ready to get into Lusaka and face Moonga, Moonga thinks he is above the law and can abrogate the law with impunity he should be reminded that he is too junior to disobey police instructions,” he said.
Mr Mulenga said Mr Moonga should show leadership and maturity and come to his senses.
He said Mr Moonga should be reminded that Zambia has enough laws to deal with thugs who abrogate the law.
And Joseph Kasonde said that youths in Lusaka are ready to protect Dr Chishimba Kambwili should PF youths misbehave themselves.
Mr Kasonde said despite police halting the scheduled demonstration by PF there is information that unruly PF youths might go ahead with their planned demos today.
“As Lusaka province, we shall not sit down and watch these youths take the law into their own hands. We have approached our alliance partners to join us in protecting our leader,” he said.
He said there are a lot of pertinent issues that the PF can address other than demonstrating against Dr Kambwili.
