A Cadet today tried to deposit K2, 400 fake notes at the Airtel booth inside the Agriculture and Commercial Showgrounds.
When the cadet was questioned where he got the counterfeit notes, he ran away and disappeared in the midst of the crowd.
Police Spokesperson Esther Katongo told The Independent Observer that arrangements were being made to have the cadet identified through relevant institutions.
Ms Katongo said the counterfeit notes were all in K100 notes bearing the same serial number FF128279922.
Ahe said investigations have been launched.
