CAF president Ahmad Ahmad’s preferred candidate, his fishing business partner from Mauritius wins CAF Southern Zone seat.
Sobha got 38 votes while FAZ president Andrew Kamanga had 12 votes.
Eswatini’s Bomber Mthetwa got 2 votes.
Kamanga already has a portfolio on CAF Committee as a member of the AFCON and so have other Zambians Lombe Mbalashi and Ponga Liwewe on the FUTSAL and Beach Soccer Committees, plus Kalusha on the CAF Exco.
Zambia through Kamanga should have had a total number of 5 representatives in CAF which Zambia could have kept to influence soccer in favour of the country and in favour of COSAFA region.
But Kamanga’s intent to burn Kalusha’s legacy has cost Zambia the seat!
