A-16-year old juvenile of Chingola, has stabbed his friend with a scissor in the stomach after he was denied access to the deep fryer of chips he was selling.
The victim sustained a cut on the stomach.
Copperbelt Police Commanding Officer Peacewell Mweemba said that brief facts of the matter are that Michael Malama 21, the victim was at his stand at Kasompe market selling chips and sausages.
Mr Mweemba said as he was selling the accused went to victim’s stand and demanded to see what was in the deep flyer but he was denied ,upon being denied ,he became angry and stubbed the victim in the stomach with a scissors which was on the victim’s stand and run away .
He said the suspect was later apprehended by members of the public and he was taken him to Kasompe Police post where he was detained.
“The victim was rushed to Nchanga North General Hospital where he was admitted and was later discharged from hospital as he was in stable condition,” he said.
Mr Mweemba said the accused person was arrest and being a juvenile has since been released on Police bond to be in the custody of his parents as per Children’s Act number 12 of 2022.
