The first-ever Malemba market ablution block and borehole have been commissioned in Chingola, through the Constituency Development Fund. This marks a wave of transformative projects in Chiwempala ward of Chingola Constituency, signaling a new dawn for local development.

The ceremony was graced by Chingola Member of Parliament Chipoka Mulenga, accompanied by District Commissioner Raphael Chimupi, Town Clerk Namukolo Kalufyanya, Deputy Mayor Kabwe, Chiwempala area Councilor Rhoda Mulenga, and other officials.

Ms. Mulenga, addressing her people, expressed gratitude to the government for the Constituency Development Fund (CDF). She noted that the CDF has transformative power, playing a crucial role in uplifting lives and ensuring development touches every corner of the constituency.

Ms. Mulenga urged the gathered community members that Chiwempala ward can be a testament to what can be achieved when resources are directed wisely and with purpose. “Yesterday, at Malemba Market, we opened an ablution block for the first time, providing much-needed sanitation where there had been none. We’ve also sunk a borehole to supply clean water. These are not just amenities; they are lifelines,” she said.
She thanked MP Mr. Mulenga for his unwavering support and called for action to empower traders at Malemba Market, enabling them to invest in their businesses. She also highlighted the necessity of a market shelter at Malemba Market and pressed for the completion of Phase 2 of the market shelter at Chiwempala Market before the rains set in.
Chipoka Mulenga, dedicated to utilizing his time in his constituency, urged the people of Malemba to take care of the infrastructure. He stated that the government is working to fulfill promises and improve lives in all areas. He emphasized that these developments benefit the community as a whole and should be secured.

Earlier, District Commissioner Raphael Chimupi called on the community to work hand in hand with the government to take the communities forward in terms of development. The newly commissioned projects in Chiwempala Ward are more than just infrastructure; they symbolize the government’s commitment to its people.
