Kabundi Ward aspiring Councillor Billy Mwape says he is ready to work with the people of Kabundi once voted in and deliver according to their expectations as he is the leader for the people.
The self-proclaimed Councillor said that having stayed in the area for 14 years; he knows and understands the challenges the community is facing.
He said he will listen to the cry and concerns of the people.
Mr Mwape said given the mandate to be the Councillor for Kabundi, he will change the face of the ward.
He said the area is facing some challenges that need to be addressed at higher offices, one of them being crime rate.
He said though there is a police post in the area, crime rate is still high.
He said the area needs serious patrols from the police because people get attacked even as early as 19: oo hrs.
Mr Mwape who had earlier choosen to stand in Chikola Ward said he appreciates Kabundi better than Chikola.
“I have stayed in Kabundi for so long, I know the area well and I think I can add my contributions to the ward once am elected,” he said.
He said he is encouraged with the way young people are stepping forward and taking interest in National Affairs.
Mr Mwape said the issue of Grade 12 certificates should not be drawing back for the youths but a step forward.
He said youths should grab the opportunity that has presented itself through the Grade 12 requirements in the constitution of Zambia.
Mr Mwape with a slogan “UMUNTU WABANTU” meaning he is a man for the people called on youths to come together and take the opportunity, adding that together they can.
