Solwezi Municipal Council Town Clerk Mr. Stanley Zingalume Mbewe says the Local Authority remains committed to improving the quality of roads in Solwezi district.
Speaking when he inspected the progress of works on Chisomo road which is currently being graded, Mr Mbewe noted that the road has been in a deplorable state for a long time however the move to grade the road will enable motorists access the road with no challenges.
The Town Clerk said graveling works will continue in other parts of the district once works are completed at Chisomo Road before the rain season.
He reaffirmed Council’s commitment to providing quality services for residents through opening up and grading of roads.
