George Sichula
Who is leading you? When John Maxwell, was asked, “What has been your greatest challenge as a leader?” he answered, leading me! That has always been my greatest challenge as a leader. ” Some of the listeners were surprised by his response, and maybe you are too.
Well, alot of people want to lead others when they can not lead themselves. Listen to me here, You may not be George Sichula, Edgar Chagwa Lungu, Nelson Mandela or George Bush influencing millions but TODAY you can become a great leader to at least one person, yourself. Everyone is a leader because each one of us influences someone. Since you influence at least one person, yourself, then consider yourself from today a leader of one.
John Maxwell said, “A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way and shows the way.” The bottom line is that the smallest crowd you will ever lead is YOU but it is the most important one. Lead yourself well! Leadership is a conversation : to lead yourself well one needs to ask one self and answer life’s greatest questions. Lao Tzu said, “Knowing others is intelligent, knowing yourself is true wisdom. Mastering others is strength, Mastering yourself is true power.”
It’s Okey for anyone to aspire for any position but Check your leadership first. Are you leading yourself well before you lead others?
See you in the field.
