Chingola Municipal Council has warned Bars, Night Clubs, and Casinos not to open beyond 20:00 hours during cross over to 2022.
Chingola Town Clerk Kabombo Mutakela has advised bars and night club owners not to exceed the permitted hours of operations because of the covid-19 Guidelines as it is prohibited for now.
“Following the update of Covid-19 countrywide and in line with the Ministerial directives by Health Minister Sylvia Masebo, the eminent of the fourth wave, all bars, Casino and night clubs should operate between 18:00hrs to 20:00hrs,” he said.
Mr Mutakela said the Local Authority is mandated by the provisions of the Public Health Regulations to recommend and enforce preventive measures in order to prevent the occurrence or transmission of Covid-19.
He said that a team of Public Health Inspectors will be conducting inspections to ascertain levels of compliance.
