In Zambia we don’t marry time to productivity. When you go at the Road Safety and Transport Agency (RTSA) you find long queue.
The time you spend on the queue means you are having idle time as work suffers where you are coming from.
Like a medical Doctor who gets permission to go and join the queue for motor vehicle license is likely to leave a queue behind of patients wishing to be attended to.
A leader who says meeting will start at 9hrs but comes at 12hrs he forgets that those waiting have three hours of idle time as other things suffer where they are coming from.
Until we attach time to productivity we shall never learn to; eradicate queues and being at meetings on time and finishing meetings in reasonable time.
