Another woman has been arrested for giving her 4-year-old baby alcohol.
Police Spokesperson Esther Katongo said Patricia Mwansa was arrested for administering local spirit popularly known as kachasu.
Ms Katongo said Police in Kabwe are investigating a matter of giving intoxicating Liquor to a child alleged to have happened on April 21, 2021 at about 1130 hours in Makululu Compound.
“It is alleged that a boy was found unconscious after he was given illicit beer (kachasu) by his mother Patricia Mwansa aged 17 of the same compound.
“Police visited the scene and found the child unconscious, rushed him to Kasanda clinic and later referred to Kabwe Mine Hospital where he was admitted and later discharged. The mother of the victim, is detained for the subject offence,” she said.
