Another female banker bolts with K59, 000 cash

Barely a month after a Lusaka based banker made off with a bounty US$400,000, another banker, also female of Monze has snatched K59, 000 from Zambia National Commercial Bank (ZANACO).

Last month, another female banker at Barclays Bank in Lusaka got away with US $400, 000 cash and is on the runaway.

Police Spokesperson Esther Katongo said police have launched a manhunt for Imenda Musialike, a banker at Zanaco in Monze in connection with Arson and theft of K59, 000 from a client using a cloned Automated Teller Machine card (ATM).

Ms Katongo said Musialike had set on fire the registry room located next to the information in a bid to destroy evidence but the fire was quickly quenched by other Bank officials.

This was after she had realised that bank officials were viewing CCTV footage from the information technology room to establish who could have withdrawn the money using the cloned ATM.

“This is reported to have occurred on July 3, 2019 at Zanaco, Monze Branch. The suspect is alleged to have set the registry room on fire and some property got burnt. Value has not yet been established. She is currently on the run and investigations have been launched,” she said.

In an another development, three people have died in a Road Traffic Accidents which happened today July 5, 2019 at about 07: 00 hours at Musonda Falls hills on Mansa – Mwense road.

Ms Katongo said the accident happened when the Foden Truck and Trailer registration number ASB 1327 and ASB 1717 ZM was ascending Musonda Hills and in the process overturned killing three people who were on board.

She said Andrew Mulenga the driver of the truck, the property of Jimbara Milling died on the spot.
