Albino killed,body parts missing

An albino has been killed and some body parts missing at a farm on the Chipata-Lundazi road in Chipata.

Police in Chipata have instituted investigations into the suspected ritual murder of an albino whose body was found without a tougue, arms and eyes.

Eastern Province Police Commissioner Lackson Sakala said that the police recovered the body yesterday.

Mr Sakala says the gruesome murder allegedly happened between 15:00 and 17:00 hours yesterday and that the deceased was aged between 17 and 20 years.

He said the body was found in a maize field at a distance of about 60 metres away from the Chipata-Lundazi road.

Mr Sakala said the deceased was wearing a red t-shirt, jean trousers and black shoes.

He has appealed to members of the community, who may be missing their relative, to report to the police and help identify the body.

Mr Sakala said the body has been deposited into Chipata Central Hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem.
