Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants ZICA president Yande Mwenye has called on members to pursue new passions in the technologically evolving world to be up to task.
Ms Mwenye said there’s need to demonstrate credibility by improving personal capacity.
She said ZICA is faced with various rigidities that the charter is working for improvement of members.
And Guest of honor Technology Minister Felix Mutati said that government has crossed 80 percent digital of inclusion in the country amidst struggling to achieve digital literacy.
Speaking at the annual ZICA conference held at Avani in Livingstone, Mr Mutati said government is however working to bridge the gap of digital literacy to bring technology to every Zambian.
Mr Mutati said accountants now have the power to analyse and shape the future through the evolving technology.
He called on the accountants to be up to speed with technology and be ready for opportunities.
Mr Mutati added that Government has developed a digital transformation that will see a digitally transformed Zambia anchored on digital inclusion.
He called on systems the private and public sectors to inter operate to foster technology development in country without leaving anyone behind.
