Absa Bank Zambia PLC has contributed a K100,000 to DLN Entrepreneurship Institute towards the hosting of the Redefining Masterclass with the Radical Entrepreneur, an event slated for Monday, 4 July 2022 at the National Heroes Stadium.
The event seeks to provide a platform for youths and entrepreneurs to come together in one place to redefine entrepreneurship, network and share experiences. This is part of the Bank’s robust sponsorship programme that seeks to positively impact people as well as communities where the Bank has presence.
Absa Bank Zambia PLC has a strong and longstanding commitment to managing the social impacts and recognising that the success of the Bank is closely linked to that of the communities. The Bank has also been focusing on delivering solutions and relationships that can make the greatest positive impact in people’s livelihoods in Zambia.
As society continues to evolve, the Bank also continues to identify new opportunities to integrate in its everyday work so as to help customers and clients, employees and communities to thrive.

Over the years, Absa Zambia has committed to partnerships with World Vision that saw us commence building of a 1 x 3 classroom block valued at K350,000 at Chipapa Community School aimed at positively impacting over 20,000 youths in the Chipapa Catchment Area as well as supporting community schools with desks. Years ago, the Bank also signed a scholarship programme with the Ministry of Higher Education valued at K3.2 million. This speaks into the fact that uplifting of women and advancement of education are twin goals and cannot be separated.
The Chief Executive Officer of DLN Entrepreneurship Institute, Mr Dumisani Ncube, has welcomed the support from Absa Bank Zambia, saying that it will go a long way in helping to organise the Redefining Masterclass event seeks to attract the youth population with the objective of provoking their thought process around entrepreneurship and dissecting businesses in the COVID-19 era.
“As DLN Entrepreneurship Institute, we are happy to have a big bank like Absa Bank Zambia PLC to come on board to support this initiative that seeks to create a platform that will challenge and transform the mindset of the many Zambian youths who have entrepreneurial aspirations”, added Mr Ncube.
